ProSmiles traces its roots to the suburb of Dombivli in Thane district, where a dashing young dental surgeon, Dr. Narendra Mokashi, started his dental practice in the year 1972. Back in the day, it was the first modern dental care centre in Dombivli. The practice grew by leaps and bounds to become one of the most flourishing practices in the area. Dr. Mokashi was the Founder President of the Indian Dental Association, Dombivli and has also served as State President. Today, 45 years and over a lakh of satisfied patients later, the practice continues to serve the people of Dombivli and the surrounding areas earnestly. In 2015, he was honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award for his immense contribution to Dentistry.

In 2002, Dr. Samidha Mokashi, joined the practice. Bringing with her a passion for Cosmetic and Aesthetic Dentistry, she transformed the practice into one totally focussed on restoring smiles with tooth-like restorations and prosthetics. She has received extensive training in and has practised Cosmetic and General Dentistry both nationally and internationally for over 15 years.

Dr. Rohit Radhakrishnan, a Periodontal and Implant Surgeon, brought his gentle demeanour and superb skill set to the practice in 2004 after his post-graduation. He has performed thousands of specialty procedures including periodontal, implant and laser surgeries over a 17 year national and international career. He is also a former Professor of Periodontology and Oral Implantology, having taught at both Indian and foreign universities. He withdrew from academic pursuits to focus completely on clinical practice that meets his strict professional and moral standards.

In 2015, a spacious office was acquired at Ghodbunder Road, Thane to house a new, ultramodern dental care centre. The practice was incorporated as ProSmiles Dental Care LLP. On the 25th of December 2016, ProSmiles Dental Care, G.B. Road, was inaugurated by Hon. MP Dr. Shrikant Shinde M.S. (Ortho.) and is now open to serve the people of Thane, carrying forward our family tradition of fine dentistry.
